A motorcycle accident on Sunday left a man dead and his wife seriously injured.

State patrol reported that 68-year-old Gale Tappe died at the scene of the accident and his wife, 55-year-old Joan Tappe was transported to a nearby hospital.

The accident happened around 11 a.m. when a Ford F-250 pickup truck had stopped to make a left turn and did not see the Tappes near the fog line.

Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the accident.
