Andrew Meyers, a Swanton man involved in a motorcycle accident Tuesday night, remained in critical condition as of Wednesday morning as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.

Meyers was riding his motorcycle on North Reynolds Road on Tuesday evening when a car drove into his path. He swerved to avoid a collision with the car and lost control of his motorcycle.

He was then thrown from his bike and was struck by the vehicle he had initially swerved to avoid.

Police on the scene did not say whether or not Meyers was wearing a helmet.

The crash is still being investigated.
